Stephen began his career with computers in 1985 when he joined the United States Navy as a Data Analyst. He served on 6 different aircraft carriers, circumnavigating the globe several times and visiting almost every continent on earth. He is an Iraqi War “Desert Storm” and “Desert Shield” veteran and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal and 6 Navy Achievement Medals during his 20 years of active duty service. Stephen has had successful careers in sales, marketing and in management positions in the contract security, banking, and insurance industries. Stephen left the corporate world to follow his love for teaching, he received his Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in 2012 and spent the next 4 years in the classroom as a professional educator.
In 2016, Stephen returned to his computer roots when he co-founded Digital Mark Company, LLC with his wife Trudy and is currently the managing partner. He quickly discovered the overwhelming need in the industry to provide quality SEO and internet marketing to combat the “fly by night” agencies that charge lots of money for very little results. Digital Mark Company, LLC was born to answer this call. The company focuses on providing quality SEO services and digital marketing consulting for business owners in all industries to increase their bottom line.
Stephen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master’s Degree in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University and currently serves as a member of the Florida Bar Association’s 4th Judicial Circuit Grievance Counsel “A” and is Chairman of the North Business Council for the Saint John’s County Chamber of Commerce. Stephen loves to play golf and spending time with his wife and 4 children on the beaches of Florida and is very active in his Church and the local community.

Trudy’s first career was as an executive secretary in a prominent law firm in Johannesburg South Africa. Through the experience of helping one of the attorneys in the firm publish a book she was drawn to the world of design and typesetting layout and began to pursue a career in this field. However, the stars had other plans and she found herself on a sailboat traveling the world for a year and a half before coming to the United States. Without the means to continue her passion of graphic design, she began a career in the insurance industry where she worked for 23 years.
Trudy began at the bottom but quickly became professionally licensed and worked hard to earn two distinguished certifications in the field of insurance, an AAI (Accredited Adviser in Insurance) and a CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor). While working for one of the largest insurance brokers in the world, she was promoted to a local management position to run commercial lines department and did so for 5 years. She then moved into a marketing role and then into a Sales position for a local agency. Trudy’s last eight years working in the industry was with a global insurance company where she had the responsibility of overseeing production and growth of her own territory in North Florida.
Trudy now uses her extensive experience to carefully monitor the procedures and operations of Digital Mark Company and loves working with our clients to resolve issues and discuss strategies to reach their goals. She is a true optimist and believes the world is full of mostly good people. Her greatest loves are her faith, her husband and her four children. In her spare time she loves to cook, read and spend time on the beach with her family.
SEO & Internet Marketing Expert
James Upjohn comes to Digital Mark Company, LLC with 15 years of successful internet marketing and SEO experience under his belt. He owns and operates a U.K.-based white-label SEO agency with both staff and clients distributed across the globe. Additionally, he runs an online SEO membership training program and an SEO outsourcing e-commerce service.
James has coached over 1,000 business owners in reaching the coveted #1 rank on Google; he additionally has boosted his own clients to that position. He is highly regarded in the international SEO community as an expert in the industry, regularly offering webinars on various platforms to share his knowledge and expertise.
James previously worked in banking but found himself drawn to entrepreneurial pursuits that included internet marketing. He told his wife that when their youngest started nursery, he would quit his job and go into business for himself. He kept his word and went into internet marketing as his full-time occupation.
In the years since that day, he has broadened and deepened his skills in the industry. The constantly shifting landscape with its moving targets and changing algorithms does not daunt him. He loves to bring intelligent guesswork combined with diligently applied known protocols to the work.

Kayla works one-on-one with each client to craft a solid social media game plan and then oversees and directs the implementation that strategy into a strong social media presence. Kayla graduated from Flagler College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication where she studied Public Relations and Advertising. She went on to pursue a graduate degree, earning her MBA with emphasis in Marketing by the age of 21. She brings years of experience to our team in the area of social media management and internet marketing.

She assisted in the growth of the company to 90+ offices within the first year of operation. Kayla then worked with Hurricane Grill and Wings at the corporate level to develop and implement a campaign to gain customer information for eight Northeast Florida Hurricane Grill and Wings locations. She worked one-on-one with each franchise owner to develop a strong social media presence and trained owners on how to best manage their brand online.
Video Producer, Animator, Editor
Alan Fraser has had a dream to tell stories through animation, design, and video since childhood, first picking up his fathers 8mm camera to make a Star Wars fan film with his neighborhood friends.
Through the suggestion from a college advisor, he began this journey to his dream at the largest ad agency in his home town of Panama City, Florida. At The Davis Company, he learned the trade of visual design using the new tools of the day: Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop, as well as other graphic design concepts using both traditional and computer-aided design. Clients included the Panama City Tourist Development Council, Wendy’s, Spinnaker and Captain Andersons.
In 1994, Alan took his skills to Jacksonville, where he studied on the job under some of the best film and video producers and post producers in the southeast. At Digital Video Arts he worked closely with clients who were experts in their fields, learning the art of video editing and 2D and 3D animation. Clients included The Jacksonville Jaguars, the ATP, Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital, HGTV, Jerry Smith Film and Television and every major ad agency in Jacksonville, creating everything from retail spots, to image spots, promotional videos, and documentaries.
After 8 years with DVA, Alan set out on his own, finally realizing his dream of freelance animation and video production. Over the last 15 years, he’s created work for ABC, the PGA Tour, St. Vincents Foundation, the Mayo Clinic, Biomet, Memorial Hospital, Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine, the Amazon TV series: Dream Quest, ADT, The Jacksonville Armada, and other reality shows and documentaries. Whether behind the camera on the ground, drone work in the air or behind the computer, Alan has a passion for the work.
Alan works from the old Walt Disney school of thought, that the story is the key, and Alan excels in the art of crafting the story. From concept to shooting to editing to animation and sound design, his years of experience in these areas will always start with the emphasis on designing the best story for your brand with the desire to start conversations and ultimately, create results.
Animation can be extremely important in any message. When used properly and creatively, a visual explanation of a process or product or even an amazing logo ID animation can dazzle your clients and customers and embed your company name for easy recall. Alan enjoys bringing animation to the table, knowing that it is often overlooked as a tool to enhance an already powerful video. 2D and 3D design and animation can accomplish certain storytelling elements that can’t be achieved with just photography.
Donald loves the art of crafting a story from behind the lens. He relishes post creation, as well as, being an architect of those images and just the right sound to deliver a unique style. He, and his wife, Janice, have a combined 30 years in broadcast news. Their exceptional ability to craft creative story designs has awarded them premier Telly Award honors for both branded content video and short form documentary work.
Donald sits on the Florida Bar Association’s State-Wide Ethics Grievance Committee for Advertising and Marketing. He’s also excited to be helping promote local live theatre serving on the Limelight Theatre Board of Directors and Marketing Committee. Donald is a graduate of St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership St. Johns, a year-long leadership development program. Donald’s award-winning broadcast journalism career of almost two decades took him from CBS Savannah to FOX Orlando and NBC Raleigh. He was honored for his Associated Press award-winning coverage of “Operation Support Hope” in Africa and appeared on the Today Show and MSNBC. He kickstarted social media use within a local news program while anchoring at NBC Raleigh. Donald’s is a serious cycling enthusiast. He’s pedaled thousands of miles raising thousands of dollars for charity. He also treasures great memories of cycling the storied Cols of the Pyrenees featured in the Tour de France.
Advertising Expert, Content Creator & Creative Director
Peter Ancone has more than three decades of professional experience in the use of marketing and communications as brand- and practice-building tools. He has created ad campaigns and marketing materials for a wide range of commercial enterprises, professional practitioners, financial institutions and government organizations. His areas of expertise include advertising campaign development, content creation and creative direction in the areas of print, broadcast, outdoor/indoor billboards. Peter also has extensive experience in the development of marketing/sales support materials, such as presentation aids, trade show displays, and sales literature.
Despite spending the lion’s share of his career as an ad man, Peter began his professional life as a business journalist in Latin America, and later, as a features writer and managing editor for several American business magazines. In 1975, he received the Jesse H. Neal Award from American Business Media, considered to be the one of the most prestigious awards in business journalism. This strong background in writing lends itself to Peter’s work in content creation.
He is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA and obtained a secondary degree as a result of his studies at the Universidad Ibero-Americana, Mexico City, Mexico.
Peter established his own full-service advertising agency in 1984, providing both consultative and creative services. Since that time, he has counseled hundreds of organizations– large and small, public and private– on how to successfully market their enterprises by using a variety of media, counting the NFL and US Navy among his clientele.
Today, Peter continues to work as a marketing and advertising consultant, providing campaign strategy, media management, content creation and creative direction for a range of clients in the northeastern and southeastern US.
He is the author of Never Work A Day In Your Life: A Guide To Self Employment and writes a blog on the subject at createyourdreamjob.com.
Peter also works as a novelist and has published two works of fiction under the pen name of P. T. Ankon.
